The annual Sioe Flodau/Henllan Flower Show will take place onÂ Saturday September the 12th 2015.
A wealth of horticultural excellence will be on display at the Henllan Church Institute.
The flower show has been a staple of the village calendar for more than 40 years, and regularly attracts an excellent standard of work from all age groups.
Show day president Mrs Olive Pierce will open the show to the public at 2pm after a morning putting the finishing touches to the entries.
On display will be flowers, vegetables, fruit, handicrafts, art, woodwork and photography.
There will also be classes for schools, including art, craft, metalwork and woodwork.
Staging will take place between 6pm and 10pm on Friday, September 12 and from 7am – 11.00am on show day.
Judging will commence at 11am.
The trophies will be presented at the end of the day at 4pm, with a raffle draw to finish at 4.30pm.
Tea, coffee, sandwiches and cakes will also be available.
Admission is ÂŁ2.00 for adults and 50p for children over five.
Entries of all classes must be in the secretariesâ€™ hands by Saturday 5th September.
The show consists of open, local and novice classes.
Local and novice classes are confined to people residing within a two-and-a-half mile radius of Henllan Church Tower.
All specimens exhibited must have been grown by the exhibitor for a period of three calendar months (excluding floral art) and each exhibitor must provide their own staging material and staging.
Entries must be sent to the Show Secretary by post, by email or left in the Henllan Post Office.
(Late entries will strictly not be accepted).
