The annual Henllan Flower Show will take place on
Saturday September 10th, 2016.Â
On Saturday, September 10th a wealth of horticultural excellence will be on display at the Henllan Flower Show at the Church Institute.
The flower show has been a staple of the village calendar for over 40 years, and regularly attracts an excellent standard of work from all age groups.
This year you will be able to look back at the past 40 years of Henllan Flower show with a photographic exhibition by Show Day President Hywel Evans.
New for 2016:
National Dahlia Society Silver and Bronze Medals and cards will be awarded to the best exhibit of dahlias and runner-up best exhibit in all dahlia classes (open, local and novice class).
Show day president Mr Hywel Evans will open the show to the public at 2 pm after a morning putting the finishing touches to the entries.
On display will be flowers, vegetables, fruit, handicrafts, art and photography.
There will also be classes for schools, including photography, floral art, cookery metalwork and woodwork.
Staging will take place between 6.00 pm and 9.30 pm on Friday evening the 9th and September 10th from 7.00 am â€“ 10.50 am on show day.
Judging of all classes will commence promptly at 11.00 am.
The trophies will be presented at the end of the day at 4.00 pm, with a raffle draw to finish at 4.30 pm.
Tea, coffee and homemade cakes will also be available.
Admission is ÂŁ2.00 for adults and 50p for children over five. Under 5’s free.
Entries of all classes must be in the secretariesâ€™ hands by Saturday 3rd of September 2016.
The show consists of open, local and novice classes.
