The annual Henllan Flower Show will take place on Saturday September the 9th 2017. 

Opens to the public at 2 pm. (Closes 4,30 pm).


A showcase for floral and produce excellence 

On Saturday, September 9th a wealth of horticultural excellence will be on display at the Henllan Flower Show at the Church Institute.

The flower show has been a staple of the village calendar for over 40 years, and attracts a wealth of horticultural excellence from all age groups.  

Open – Class include: Heaviest: Cabbage, Marrow, Potato or Truss of Tomatoes or the Longest: Runner bean, Carrot or Parsnip.

New section Henllan for 2017 A photo of a butterfly (any stage of the life-cycle) on my property. Open to all age groups.

Show day presidents Gwyn and Helen Davies, Llansannan will open the show to the public at 2pm after a morning of putting the finishing touches to all the entries.

On display will be flowers, vegetables, fruit, handicrafts, art and photography.

There will also be classes for schools, including photography, floral art, cookery, metalwork and woodwork.

Staging will take place between 6 pm and 9.30 pm on Friday evening the 9th and September 10th from

7 am – 10.50 am on show day.

Judging of all classes will commence promptly at 11 am.


The trophies will be presented at the end of the day at 4 pm by the Show Day Presidents with a raffle draw to finish at 4.30

Tea, coffee and homemade cakes will also be available.

Admission is £2.00 for adults and 50p for children over five. Under 5s free.

Entries of all classes must be in the secretaries’ hands by Saturday 2nd of September 2017.

The show consists of open, local and novice classes.

Local and novice classes are confined to people residing within a two-and-a-half mile radius of Henllan Church Tower.

All specimens exhibited must have been grown by the exhibitor for a period of three calendar months (excluding floral art) and each exhibitor must provide their own staging material and staging.
