Join us in a community bug hunt at Cil y Coed Henllan

Henllan Web Team : 6th April 2015 21:25 :

Crawlies aren’t always creepy – they play a big role in our environment, as they pollinate plants, recycle nutrients and are an important food source for birds and mammals.

Want to find out how many bugs are living in Henllan?

We will catch and identify as many different bugs as we can living in the butterfly garden. The results will be put on-line as part of a nationwide survey http://www.opalexplorenature.org/bugscount

Join us in an Opal Bugs count survey at Cil y Coed Butterfly Garden.

Interested? Contact Jane Janaway on 01352 736324 for more information. Date & time to be arranged to suit respondents.

This venture is supported by Wales & West Housing, North Wales Wildlife Trust & Henllan Conservation Group.

Join us in a birdwatching survey at Cil y Coed Henllan.

Henllan Web Team : 6th April 2015 21:22 :

Do you know how many birds use your garden?

We need you to help us join a birdwatching survey at Cil y Coed Butterfly garden so that we can keep an eye on how, why and when birds use gardens, and how we can help them to survive.

Become a ‘citizen scientist’ so we can share information with other areas. You will learn new skills:

  • How to observe nature
  • How to gather data
  • How to analyse the results of what you have seen

Interested? Contact Jane Janaway of Wales & West Housing Association on 01352 736324 for more information. Time & Date to be arranged to suit respondents.

We also need a volunteer to lead monthly bird watches in Cil y Coed Butterfly Garden. Interested? Contact Jane Janaway.
